Rosetta Stone Giveaway

Taking a break from my whining to try for a chance at a great language program!

***

Rosetta Stone is the fastest way to learn a language and has been the #1 foreign language curriculum among homeschoolers for a while — and you can WIN the *all new* version 3 Rosetta Stone Homeschool LATIN program… FOR FREE! This is the first year you can get Latin in the brand new Version III update.

This is a $259 program (and believe me it’s worth every penny!)
This is a computer based curriculum and Rosetta Stone will also include a headset with microphone, and a supplementary “Audio Companion” CD so you can practice lessons in the car, on the go, or where-ever! Students participate in life-like conversations and actually produce language to advance through the program. Rosetta Stone incorporates listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary and writing along with speaking and pronunciation lessons. For parents, the new Parent Administrative Tools are integrated into the program to allow parents to easily enroll up to ten students in any of 12 predetermined lesson plans, monitor student progress, grade completed work (the program grades the work automatically as the students progress- I love that!), and you can view and print reports for transcripts. Homeschooling a lot of kids at your house? This program is designed to enroll and track up to ten students (five users on two computers) and will work for nearly all ages — from beginning readers up to college students.

To win this most excellent Latin program copy these paragraphs and post them in (or as) your next blog post, and/OR link to the contest from your facebook page and/OR email the information to your homeschool support group – Then go to the original page http://Jeneralities.com and leave a comment saying that you’ve posted about, or have linked to, the contest. Please make sure the link works to get back to the original contest page when you post. And good luck!

Ooo, my first whine, how exciting!

:-P

Short and sweet - my daughter's ONLY 4th birthday present was just PUT ON BACKORDER and now I have to find a replacement by Sunday. It was supposed to be a nice wooden play kitchen. We don't usually buy such big items, but this was probably the last chance to buy something like that as they are all getting older (and dh wouldn't like me to buy a play kitchen just for baby Jeffrey LOL). I'm either going to have to find something plastic and local (I really wanted something NICE!) or find something in stock and rush order it and pay an additional arm and leg over the first arm and leg I paid for the darn thing! ;-)

Then tonight's softball is rained out so they are going to do a double header Saturday - which wipes out the whole day, but I wanted to take Batty to a church carnival that day as her birthday "thing" - we try to do something special with each of them on or near their birthday, but the other things she wants to do involve lots of germs (like chuck e. cheese :-P). I want to avoid those if I can.

I want to crawl into a hole.

A Change of Plans

For those (two) of you who read this blog, I've decided to change it from my homeschooling log to a place where I can just come and, well, whine. I thought "Please Send Chocolate" was a better name for that type of thing. When I wanted to change my original template at Epiphany Springs but didn't want to lose the apple/red/green thing I had going on, I started a blog called Epiphany Prep School. So all the schooling stuff, including the dyslexia remediation work I do with Rose, will go there.

But I find I really just need a place to "talk" sometimes, where no one will roll their eyes at me and tell me I'm being stupid for being disappointed or whatever. But I didn't want it all on my regular blog, I *do* need a place that's mostly love, wonder, and happiness. But I honestly don't have ONE person in my life who will just listen to me when things are bad/rough and support me. I need an outlet, even if no one is listening here.

I'm going to leave comments open for now but will either turn them off or moderate if there are problems. If you don't like my whinin', then what are you doing here in the first place? Get on with your life.
